The steering on my 318is is really light. With 205/50r16 tyres it has been liveable but now I've put my 195/55r15 winter tyres on they have highlighted how ridiculously light the steering is.

I noticed in the for sale section someone is selling two PAS pumps, one a 110 bar pump and another 130 bar. Does anyone know if there were two or more pressures used in the e30 PAS system before I hunt out a replacement item?

Have you had your tracking done recently, and are your tyre pressures correct?

Yes, the car has been owned by my brother for several years before I owned it. Its recently had the tracking done. Its been run with 14, 15 and 16" wheels. We've suspected the light steering may have something to do with the first owner being elderly. I was hoping to find out the pump is a higher pressure and substituting it would solve the problem.
