Using turbos is cheating!!
The Internet - It has proven to be worthless, and is nothing but a repository for perverts.

All well and good saying don't slate him for having shit brakes but does anyone else think the kids a moron for doing it that way?
I found the standard brakes lacking at times when I only had m20 power

spot on ross when i done mine knowing full well what sort of power i was going to be running that was one of the first things i done
nothing worse than nailing it coming up to a roundabout or another car then having massive brake fade thinking s*** i aint gonna stop

That's made me worry watching that. Spent far too much on 4x100 coilovers not too long ago, but the brake upgrades are so much cheaper when you swap to 5 stud.
And the rim choices are so much better for 4x100!

Doesn't sound like you're in that category... The term was actually ..'arm chair restorations'.. and it was from jimbom30cabross2009 wrote:armchair builds how does that work then i grafted on mine every night and day and made near on everything for it it was all custom work done by me far from armchairG-Bear wrote:Yes indeed.. ops, sorry guys, in "armchair restos" i was actually meaning just reading about other restos dreaming of having the time to do one !!
remember the old days of buying "pratical classics" and reading about the resto jobs ??

Oh well.. I quite liked how I thought of it... Some old boy who gently researches his project through books (laptop) whilst sat at the armchair. Then heads out and chips away another days work on it. Silly me.
Never mind its all good work from all threads involved.
Ross, apologies if I offended you and your hard work..
