Is this BTB direct?drai wrote:have spoken to the suppliers they are over a 1000 pounds to buy. there dont want to set up a group buy? if sombody orderd 10 units the price is about £700 they want to also send manifolds to one place? what do u guys think
They sent out the manifolds to each person on the group buy when I had mine from them, not to one address.
BTB won't set up a group buy, but offer a discounted price for a minimum order (usually 5 or 10).
It's up to a member from here to set up the group buy and sort out desposits etc. Once the manifolds are done, each person contacts BTB to pay and the manifolds get sent out to each person once their payment has cleared. That's how it worked when I had my BTB from a group buy on here.

Yep, I'm still interested, as long as it is the BTB3 for a M20 which clears an uprated steering rack.

For the S50 manifold you need to send them a standard S50 manifold and they will modify it to suit your E30.
As below.

The m20 BTB3 is totally different to the above S50 one!

I could be interested in this, but who's going to set it up and do it ? No offence but i certainly wouldn't feel comfortable with sending 700/7k in total to someone with 12 posts on here

I don't think it matters how many posts someone has. I can't see anyone handing over £1k to someone they've never met!polsta wrote:No offence but i certainly wouldn't feel comfortable with sending 700/7k in total to someone with 12 posts on here
I can understand BTB may of had issues with group buys in the past, but reckon they've done themselves out of a few grand by wanting payment from one person

count me in on this if it ever goes ahead.
I would much rather pay 700 than 1k plus, but from a logistical perspective I can't see this getting organised,
we would need 2 investors coughing up £3500 each, and zoners would have to pay 20% premium, so £840, the investor makes money to cover this time, and zoners save money about £250, and BTB deal with one customer only so everyone laughing.
This would work well if the two investors also wanted one themselves, therefore slashing the cost of theirs by £560,

i want one too, cant see why each person cant deal with btb direct. one person arranges the deal with btb and we see if theres enough interest.
everyone sends there manifolds and deposit or full amount to btb

I would be keen im building a fast road/sprint 325 and the manifold is the most important part for good power. dont want to spent 1 k though! Does anyone on here have access/the ability to weld manifolds because we could buy one to use and copy it. i however cannot weld shit otherwise i would be churning these out myself. Apparently they are just slightly improved hartge ones.....

There's some confusion here I think. Some people are talking about the BTB manifold for the M20 engine and others the BTB manifold for S50 conversion.Osamam3 wrote:is this happening ? i need to get a manifold for my car .
A group buy will only be for one version of their manifolds as they will make them in batches. You won't be able to have a group buy of some M20 and some S50 manifolds.

more info on manifolds have spoken to btb they have 6 units in stock. The price for one unit is, i hope your all sitting down its £1328 incl vat thats right £1328..
now some better news they will do a price for 5 units for £936 each. They want all money from one person and will send items to one address unless we pick up . SO we need 5 people to start with these are for m20 engines. The number for them is 01327261797 . pls let us know if anybody is still interested.

They are very different to Hartge ones and some eastern european outfit tried to copy the BTB one and failed. The copies make no power and there are fitment issues.DoctorDrift wrote:I would be keen im building a fast road/sprint 325 and the manifold is the most important part for good power. dont want to spent 1 k though! I didn't even pay that for my donor car with a 6 month old BTB fitted.
