e39 tyre size

Hi ive got a 530d e39 as my daily runner which has 225/55/16 on. ive been offered winter tyres but they are 205/55/16. will this be ok on this car just for the winter? cheers

Ive just bought the same size for mine, but I will only use them when snow/ice is on the road, they wont be as comfortable having less side wall.

If you need new tyres anyway I have some brand new sets which I no longer need in the standard size 225/55/16 obviously they will be cheaper than the RRP, I bought them before I changed to 17" wheels

The new tyres are gone now, but I do have a set of Kumho's that have had only 1000 miles of use or so, will get the tread measured if your interested in them?
