Thats a good spec for a 520I.
Leather, Cruise, OBC, HLW and climate!!!
Would be perfect for a 540i 6speed transplant.

Wonder why the display pixelation would have failed, with such little use?

The wipers are shagged but they may have swapped the linkage to another car I suppose. without seeing the corresponding damage to the bonnet, it's difficult to tell. Dash pixels is a weird one. E34's didn't suffer as badly as e39's and I've never seen an e34 that bad.
The drivers seat looks barely sat in mind. It still has that new look and not just in colour.
I reckon its foriegn spec. that interior mirror is different and an airbag in one that early on a UK car (I had a 93 525 and that never had a bag)? And I may be wrong but the ESR switch I think is on the opposite side to my old e34's.
It's an interesting one as Si says.

Drivers door seal is also worn out, and the tyres look bald, looks like the head of motor vehicle dept ran an E34

if a college had it to work on it cant be registered and will most likely come up as scrapped on a vehicle check.
found this out when i was at college as they had a lot of nice cars but not allowed to sell them after college monkeys have been all over them.

And is that coil spring rubbing against the turret, or is it just the camera angle?

What that wants is some M54B30 crank, rods and pistons and a manual conversion.
