What are these cars like? Owner says hes spent serious amount of money on restoring the cars body and mechanically is spot on.

Many are shiny, Most are scrap. Mileage and history are the biggest decider of value and obviously condition but contrary to what sellers think, a minty 180k 15 owner turd is NOT worthj 10k because they have spent 10k on it.

All issues are expensive to sort and even the 'nice' ones have plenty of issues. What is the spec ? mileage? and how much does he see it at ? Most 6 owners are dreamers living on another planet.

Shadowline Highlines are pretty much like that. Hard to value it without seeing it but if it's as nice as it looks, £6000 is about right. 164'000 miles and a spot of councilling doesn't help it. A thorough inspection is vital but it's £3000 in bits alone.

He has been trying to serve that for AGES. A set of decent springs and a standard airbox would enhance its servability greatly, even if it has grim grey leatherz :(
Tread very carefully, one mans resto is another mans pugfest .

I know that car, well sort off

It belongs to a friends friends friend

I've been informed that he has spent a lot of money on it but for me it needs a few things doing, like properly sizes tyres and silver wheels

I did see it at gaydon a couple of years ago and it did look nice and shiny but it's what lurks underneath that's going to be a concern on any potential purchase

Most sixes are tarted up shite and are no more than 2 grand resto or breakers

The ASKING price difference may be massive, but not the selling price. Manuals are rare because NOBODY wanted them when new.

Obviously a M635 is a lot more expensive but it is a very different car to an ordinary 635.

Never mind a fist, you could fit both hands and still have room to clap.

I'm David Furnish to Pete's Elton John, i.e the giver not the taker!

As you already know, Rav, Petes's hole is like the back of your transit van with the doors open (yes, including the tools!). :D
