Id chose the RS reps, ive been running a set as my daily wheels, cost me £360 delivered 8 & 9j x 16.

However i did give them some wheel sealant before they went on and they are still in good order despite hitting a few potholes etc..

I had the same two options and went with the borbets as they will hold value and didn't want the constant 'fake bbs' statement

Fake splits are one of the gayest things ever.

Type A's aren't much better and are well played out and IMO well out of "fashion". Can you not go for type b's? Have that timeless basket weave look

You can pick up a set of borbet A's for around 400, they will hold their value and won't be worth scrap when you go to get rid mate..

Agreed!

I ran a set of lenso's before my Hartges and they were fine, wish they had done a wider set at the time though as 7.5 around wasn't deep enough.

I thought the only reason borbet wheels were worth more is because they are made of lead? :)

What, they weigh a lot and buckle easily? That's definately the experience I had with some Borbet T's I ran.

As for Borbet A's holding the money, last year i had a staggered set in good order with decent branded tyres, took me about 2 months to sell them! in the end an MX5 type bought them for £425! originally advertised for £500.
Most wheels i sell normally fly out the door but Borbets were a killer to get rid.

Dare RS'. I've got a set on my e30 and love them. I've not had a single negative comment about them as people with sense know for the same set of real RS' you're talking easily more than triple the amount. No hassle with air leaks, no having to re-polish the dishes, no worrying you're going to curb them or get them knicked. It's great!

Look after them properly (regular wheel sealant/wax and cleaning) and they'll be fine. I used to run a lovely set of BBS RM's and hated them for the amount of hassle they were.

One thing to note I found was I had to roll my rear arches with et15 9's on the back.

BBS rs (reps) all the way, borbet A's have been played out to much by the vag crew.

^^ Whats going on mine! ^^ winkeye

Im not a massive fan of the normal alloy style borbet a's (i think they look like plastic) but i've always wanted a polished set!

You've got to love a set of bbs Rs's! All down to personal preference!
