Decided to get someone else (other than me) to handle the job of changing my 1987 325i from no power steering to power steering. I have all the parts needed. I just wanted to know how many hours of labour this job would take according to BMW. He wants to charge me £200 for fitting and wheel alinement's. Is this a good price? does anyone know of a better deal around the Cambridgeshire area? Would anyone like the job for cheaper? Any comments/advice would be appreciated.

Cheers

Say wheel alignment is £50 which is about average price for that, that means £150 to fit the rack, steering linkage, pump with bracket and belts plus pipes and reservoir.

BMW repair time is approx 3.5 hours to remove and refit rack, pump and linkage only.

Reasonably priced imo.
