This is being sold by Munich Legends and apparently is under 30000 miles and zero corrosion.

How is a 1991 vehicle have 30000 miles these days ?

What do we think ?

I am not saying this is clocked but surely in the Sport Evo market there is massive incentive for clocking by less than honest sellers especially with the high prices these command ?

I wouldn't be surprised if at least £60k given what the M635CSi sold for.

Why not ? It is a rare significant car (unlike an E46 CSL) and appears to be in exceptional condition, with the exception of the incorrectly positioned N/S/F repeater(accident?) and the faded seatbelt stalks :)

I assume it is an Italian market car ? if that is the case, VERY CAREFUL scrutiny would be needed of its history as many were 'adjusted' even more so than the German imports, so I have heard.

There seem to be a few low mileage Sport Evos in recent years
I thought they were all ragged to death, tracked, pimped and modded in the 90s and only recently given high prices returned to standard and advertised as pampered garage queens ? Or am I being cynical .... ?

Not at all, IMO

Certainly going to be interesting to see what its up for or what it actually goes for,

In addition to Pete's comments, anyone notice the rear upper grab handles, not supposed to be there I thought given the weight saving regime...?

Also check the rust on the coolant reservoir bolt/washer against the other fresh jobbies in the bay -if we are being ultra picky -which i suspect that we are :)

Looks nice though, obviously far more expensive than a council peasant like myself could aspire to...

Sport evolutions never really became 'bangers' They never really dipped below 10k and as they were always considerably dearer than an 'ordinary' M3 , they were usually bought by enthusiasts as a 2nd / 3rd car. E30 M3s were a rare sight back in the early 90s , cost and LHD only made sure of that.

When the main big wave of M3 imports happened in the late 90s, they already had a bit of a cult status and LHD only meant that the scum stuck to their Fords :) Not many were bought as only cars or to be used every day and the track day scene was very underground.

It was in the early 2000s when the values bottomed out and you could buy a tatty but legal M3 for £2500 that the undesirables started buying and ruining many of them. Once again, the Sport Evolution largely escaped falling into the hands of peasants as the entry price was much higher. That does not mean there were not plenty of dogs around, as there is now, just they are shinier and a lot more expensive ! :(

I prefer the colour, quite like the seats too and it's cheaper.
Also with higher mileage it can be used with less guilt inducing concern.

12k X inflation rate 02-03 X inflation rate 03-04 X .... X inflation rate 12-13 = fuck knows less than £65k I suspect

Pacer imagine how many sluts you could have taken out and banged with £65k
Or
BMW E92 M3
Or

That would of been a nice return on 12k . The big question is will m3/ sport evo prices keep rising or have they peaked. :?

Some members may remember the ''Bonkers'' M3. He joined the Zone and posted a thread asking how much a delivery mileage M3 Evo would be worth, he got the usual reply of members gunning him down and told him he was a idiot basically. Turned out he was well known Ford collector, Bonkers. Had his mitts on a 40odd mile car, and it was put up for sale for 80k. Didn't hang around long

I remember reading that whole thread years later.
Good on him.
The thread just about sums up the Zone IMO.
