Can anyone tell me if a head off a 1985 325i is compatible to go on my 1989 325i block.
Can anyone advise as I'm not sure if there is any differences like higher compression or has different sized valves & cam.
I would much appriciate any guidance.

both early hi comp and the late 325i head's are interchangerble, and there is no difference between the two : )

The part number for all 325i heads ends in 885. Thats all you need to look for.
