All,

Trying to find where the timing mark is on my M30 engined E30. Have found the mark on the balancer between O T what does O and T denote out of interest? Have seen a couple of reference to a mark on the timing cover but cannot find this. Anyone got a picture or can describe where this elusive mark is?

Cheers

If you are looking at the ot Mark with the line in the middle, should be near the top and then look to the left of that about 15 ° and you will see the mark to line up too.

Yes

OT, in German, is Oberer Totpunkt, more correctly translated as the top dead point.
