Hi, the plastic window in my cab roof is split and fogged. Is it possible to replace it? It has a double stitch fixing. If so can you recommend anyone?

It's a difficult DIY job, but not impossible - some of the guys have managed to do this.

I would suggest a professional hood company like the car hood warehouse, as I'm sure the roof has to come off for you to do it, which is a ball-ache of a job in itself.

i bonded mine in and its still holding up well, but tbh the only reason i went down the bond route was because my hood is a bit tired and I plan to fit a full new hood at some point so its just a temp fix.

tbh it came out alot better than I expected.

if you choose to try and stitch one in yourself it will take about 3 days I would say given the amount of daylight we have at the moment

What type of plastic did you use? Also what did you bond it in with?

not sure on the type of bond my mate got it for me I'll ask him.

this was the plastic I used.........

to make life easier you need to cut a piece of board to size and prop it up behind the window gap, this makes fitting alot easier and gives you something to push against to create a nice seal for the bond. it also allows you to get a tight non saggy finish. I also pinned the window in place first before applying the bond. does that make sense?
