I'v got spare LSD but the input shaft is seized
(been ran for 10 mile with no oil in  )

is it worth getting it rebuilt?

or will it be a waste of time?

The pinion bearing is an utter b***ard to change, I would have to be very bored to do another.
Gareth has made his own tool for the job, so I dont think he minds doing them, send him a pm and ask about doing the slipper bits while he's in there :D

That's what i was initially going to do, send it down to Gareth,
but wasnt sure if it's worth the time, effort and money, just to be told it's feked

I'v had the lsd unit it's self out, and it looks ok to my eye, but what do i know :)

could the seized bearing saved the unit or is it all just a bit of a gamble?

for all I know, it could be absolute toast :?

But suppose there's only 1 way to find out for sure

Probably save-able. I've seen the crownwheel and pinion get damaged before but this was on a race car, run to the bitter end!

Very unlikely to have damaged the casing or LSD spool etc.

PM on it's way :)
