Hi Guys,

I want to change the steering wheel on my car and just wondered who's running what, in terms of size and dish etc.

I have fixed buckets and am 6' tall.

Also I have heard of a few lowering their steering column - what's the advantage of this and is it worth it?

Thanks

Tom

I also have buckets and I'm 6'1. I found that a standard wheel was too far away from me for any real control - especially as my pedal box means I need to sit 2 or 3 inches further back.

Purchased one of Rally Design's dished alcantara wheels and an OMP boss. Now seating position is spot on.

Motorhole, that looks like an interesting seat bracket, is that based off a standard rail?

Yep, they certainly are! Not cheap, admittedly. But they do come with all mounting bolts etc, so not THAT much more expensive than regular aluminium sidemounts. It's the shipping from Canada that stings

RSlut - dish is 3 inches: http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/product_in ... s_id=13924

Note that Rally Design's web prices exclude VAT :)
