Hey guys

Does anyone know this car?
Seems legit.
A couple of question marks raised about the bodywork etc but i was wondering if it had been owned by a zoner!
It seems worth a look thats for sure - unless.........

If its as clean as it looks and you remove all the tat, could be a good buy. not a bad price

im a bit sceptical about the comment
"Passenger’s side scuttle panel has a small chip which has lifted with surface rust"
although it appears that the vehicle has been treated for all the usual rot :?

They are all gonna have some rot. Just inspect it properly. Price is not bad it's quite well specced

Wish i could inspect it but unfortunately i am working offshore atm.
I either have to rely on the sellers description and pics, independent inspector or.... let it go and wait.

best thing to do is, have a look in the flesh, picture can and do make cars look better or worse.

the easiest way is to have a look at all the suspect areas in person, or get someone who is close by to view on your behalf.

looks a nice car though,

that is the ideal and probably only way to know for sure.
RAC asked over GBP 400 to do the inspection though.
Has anyone spotted any other delphine grey's for sale.

mate i wouldnt personally pay the RAc to inspect it, not at that price, i think the best way to go would be to get a zoner (who knows these cars) to take a look, perhaps for beer money :)

is it specifically delphine grey you are looking for

The acid test for the 'small chip" will be if a screwdriver can go through it. I've never seen paint 'chipping' on a scuttle panel, unless it's either full of filler or full of rot !

My suggestion would be to ask on here for anyone local, who has a reasonable post count (demonstrating experience in dealing with E30s) to inspect it for you. it's easy to strike a deal online or by phone but a trusted eye to look over it is essential. Some of us enjoy the process so much, we do it for free. :D

Topblag - love the id tag.
Youre the second to suggest that a zoner have a look.
I think that is going to be my best chance of getting an impartial inspection.
And i agree fully with the screwdriver test - ive actually done it before, it works everytime.
Im not suggesting that the add is a misrepresentation, but too often people will do what they have to in order to make a sale.

I think the headlight comment was a joke but could be wrong. Like all said above get some one on hear who knows there shit to have a look. It's North Yorkshire, there are defo zoners in the area.

I'm in North Yorkshire but I'm shit at inspecting cars. I just don't have the ability to spot a "moody" paint job.
