Hi-quickie for someone”¦

Should the gear selector (PDRN123) light up at night as the electric window buttons etc do?

Mine doesn't, wondering if maybe a bulb has gone on the fibre optics”¦

Yes, the gear selected should light up.

Chances are either the bulb has blown, or the wiring to the bulb which tends to move and chafe has broken. If you take off the selector surround, it should be fairly clear.

Yeah just pops off and there is a bit on the side of the selector where the bulb slots into it might have come out of the slot or could be blown .

Bulb should be lit all the time the ignition is on, not just at night.

I think they're regular dashboard bulbs. The wire to the bulb holder will almost certainly be broken - they all do!
