yes mate the yellow connector at the back of the cluster.when you press range it flashes ----m even after pressing set/res and mph shows 0.0mph even when moving and consume shows 000.0

my speed limiter doesnt work.
so, we know the obc itself is functional, i take it it holds the time and date ok?
an you have driven the car?
i would say the yellow plug is either not on properly or fault becuase all the readings that are not workign here run off that

some threads have said you need to disconnect, then reconnect the OBC with the ignition on.
The OBC gets its power via the yellow plug, so if you have put all the panels back, it might be easier to take just the instrument cluster out to do the above
if you haven't put the OBC in totally, you can check if it is the correct TYP plug in the back by referring to a chart that is on the 'zone somewhere, but I think a TYP 4 6 is correct for a late 325
I put my OBC in a few months back, and IIRC it took a few power-ups before everything was working 100%

ps the ignition has to be on fully for the 'cheats' to work
100 and 1 together give TYP code, 1000 and 1 gives remaining in tank

the obc should work regardless of what coding plug you have, its just a matter off how accurate the readings are, thats all the code plug controls iirc

Well i dont know exactly how the obc is fitted but the range and mpg and mph are all related.... coincedence?(Spelling?
)
the range will take your average mpg and compare it to what fuel is left in the tank your mpg is related to what revs/speed you are doing so i just find it a bit strange that its these three things that arent working.... maybe a broken sensor somewhere, crap connection or broken cable?? i dont know just taking a shot in the dark on this one... sorry mate

I've experienced weird readings on my obc(incorrect range and litres remaing),after further investigation it transpired that the cause was slightly dirty/corroded pins in the connector block.These readings come from very sensitive float resistors in the tank similar in function to a dimmer switch.The computer measures tiny vatiations in ohms.The best way to clean the plug and socket is with Bardhal electrical contact cleaner (or similar),it sorted mine out a treat!Just spray the stuff in and the jobs done .In point of fact 99% of electrical probs I've experienced in 7 yrs of maintaining my own E30 were down to dirty/corroded contacts in plugs and sockets throughout the car so I reccomend every E30 driver should have electrical contact cleaner in their tool box Good luck!
If it ain't broke..
Fix it till it is
