Probably a silly question but...

I want to lower my touring just a little from the rear, now as i am led to believe the touring and cabs are heavier from the rear compared to coupe and saloon.

So if i fit stock saloon springs on my touring, will it give me a subtle drop??

Thats strange because a friend of mine put saloon lowering springs in his touring & it was so low that it was undriveable .

they must have been after market springs with a silly drop like 60-80mm to make it "undrivable"

but BMW put them there to stop the springs rubbing onto the metal trailing arms. Leave them there IMO.

IVe got -15mtech rear saloon springs as my others were too low, there not bouncy and looks the height I want.

Apparently not all rubber pads are the same. Measure yours and see if you can get thinner ones.

I've run an e30 for a couple of years with no pads. They're just there for noise and vibration isolation.

You can get different thicknesses too to correct rear geometry or account for a heavier car.
cheers,
