Is it a simple job to change an Auto M20 engine loom over to Manual?
The auto has the 6 pin round plug for the TPS and the manual has a 3 pin square plug. The 3 wires on the manual are brown, brown blue and brown black. These are all present on the auto loom along with 3 more wires.
Can I simply splice the 3 common coloured wires to a new 3 pin plug and then leave the other 3 wires disconnected?
Cheers
Dave

No need, the auto TPS will work on a manual car, providing the loom matches.

It's not that he is creating work the attention to detail on Dave's car is peadotastic!maggspower wrote:No need, the auto TPS will work on a manual car, providing the loom matches.

How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

I have a brand new TPS fitted to the TB already, I'm not going out sourcing another TPS. Pissed me off enough I've had to forkout for another loom as it is!maggspower wrote:No need, the auto TPS will work on a manual car, providing the loom matches.

Dave wouldn't sleep if he knew there was an auto shaped TPS on his car...

I'm surprised he hasn't had the engine out again tbh
