I must have driven over something and it's sliced through the small piece of loom which goes to the N/S front brake pads. I'm not talking about the little wire that comes with the pads I'm talking about the wire that joins to the pads and goes through the inner wing.
Can this wire be bought or is it part of the cars wiring loom. If it is a seperate piece can I buy it and is it still available.

Real OEM is showing part 61121367674 as being the closest thing. Maybe a trip to the dealer to ask/verify is the best bet before you trying laying out any cash?

Could you try soldering the wires back together finishing with a bit of heat shrink ?

This would be my approach, the cable that comes through the wing is part of the main loom,IIRC.jimbom30cab wrote:Could you try soldering the wires back together finishing with a bit of heat shrink ?

Of course I can join it, but I just wanted to keep the proper connectors. No big deal I suppose It just bugs me.

Don't think the loom section is available separately, but the wires are joined by soldered joints just after they enter the main loom.
There's no shortage of scrap E30 looms around that could donate the whole piece.

Even if you buy the bit of loom, you will still need to solder and heatshrink the joint....
