Hell yeah Imran that's awesome on those wheels! 8)
How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

Thanks mate, it's getting there :D

I've gone white and blue exterior (blue hood) and then the interior's going to be red (walk nappa red). Dashboard flocked black and the centre consoles dyed black. Don't know about the carpet yet, red or black? :?

Bumper strips will be black but might go red to match the interior. I might try both and see which looks better :)

How's yours coming along?

Props for hanging in there.

But this sounds like a disaster dude. Whats with the f1ocking? 8O

And red interior in a white car is seriously dated. Against the blue hood will be a horrible clash.

Leave the dash as is and get an indigo or tan leather interior - will go very nicely with the white and the blue hood - is very correct for the period too. Red is mistake.

Then just stick with black leather for the consoles and leave the dash ALONE.

I have spoken.

Might be dated but it looks good. I'm getting a hardtop so you'll never see the blue hood anyway :)

I've got a motorsport interior that's ready for the red treatment, already bought the dye kit :D

Black carpet and black consoles will give it a good contrast.

Send the dye back and wait for the right interior to show up. Or go re-trim - have some taste instead of the default chav choice!

I hope its at least Cardinal Red (darker / 'oxblood') and not that nasty brighter red...

It's near enough impossible to find an original red interior. We'll just have to agree to disagree :)

It's walknappa red, similar to the red in the E92/3 M3 :D

No don't do what you want.

It will not look good. White car with red interior will look nasty.

E92 Red is kind of loud. Why didn't you spec an E30 original red???

You want crimson like i have, it comes up loud and bright in photos but its much darker in real life. Looks much nicer than the Red leather fitted to new bmws and audis imo. they're too bright.

Its black with red but i am biased

Walknappa is not the name of the colour, its the type of leather.

The red leather in E9x M3's is Fox red and similar is Cardinal red leather as in it has a brown tint to it.

Image

Where as the red leather on all other non M E9x BMW's is Coral red leather which is a lot redder.

Image

Both of them are a bit darker in real life as the photos seem to make them look brighter.

The difference is like the Cardinal vs Crimson on E30's.

Imy, best to go cardinal. No matter how minty mint the rest of the interior is (dash, carpet, consoles, etc), anything other than cardinal or fox red; what bss325i has shown, will look too fresh. You need a more dated looking red/brown

I'm going to do the rear seat and see how it looks and take it from there.

I like brighter colours :)

Dude - brighter red is not cool.

Get a retrim in Cardinal red. It will still look crap but at least be original and fresh. Bright red against the white is a no no. When it fades it will fade to PINK.

You need to go Cardinal or Indigo blue or Tan. Black is too boring. Greys don't go with white.

The car will look like a dodgy home bodge mismatch if you don't get this right.

It's not that bright, I'm going to do a panel and see what it's like.

Don't want a re-trim, seats are in pretty good nick.

I'll get some pics up once I've done a panel :D

RR does have a point imy....maybe a clash of colours but bottom line is do what you like and what you want. I've gone with dark grey interior with alpine white 3 & blue hood, fits with the 80s theme for me. The new 3 series come in this combo and i quite like it. Anyways, I've just dropped mine onto the lump....
