there's a guy up the road, probably in his 70s who has one of those rover SD1's with huge striaght through exhausts (sounds good to be fair) quite a sight though, of him and his also elderly wife going up the road in it, all i can think is he must have had it since new

..never really experienced much want for any Jaguar for some reason If I had one it'd have to be something odd and freakish like an Avon XJ6 estate

Haha maybe, although it was yellow!!
I must have become attached to it from spending my early years under it with him - i'd picked up on the word "pinking" being a bad thing - so a ~ 6 year old me told the man that came to buy it that it pinked!! Unfortunately, it turned out the car that pinked was my mum's MG Metro!!
