has anyone got any comparison feedback on this conversion compared with some 8mm competition magnecors?

It's cheaper for one thing and you're removing a connection from the high tension circuit. It's mainly used for people converting to M42 from M10/M40 etc who don't have the coil pack mounts on the wings.
