I'm looking for a new set of springs for my 88, 325i sport. First choice being the Eibachs due to a previous bad experience with H&R. Already have Bilstein shocks so wanting a good match for them.
Was going to purchase from rpm but noticed there are 2 products, 82-98 and 88-91. One seems to be for pre face lift and one for post.
I can't find any details on here about BMW making any changes/upgrades to the suspension during the facelift and I cant imagine the change in weight would warrant new spring rates? Can anyone confirm why there are 2 different options? Some companies seem to offer only one option from 82-91 with the Eibachs. And on all the sites I have checked I can only find one option for the H&Rs.
Seems a bit wierd. Hopefully someone can clear this up. What are you guys running?
Cheers.

Sorry no advice, but what was the issue with H&R? I'm looking to fit their OE sport springs to my 325i along with Bilstein B6's.

if you looked properly, you would see the list "e30 3 series 82-91" as in saying they are for the e30 3 series
then they say 82-88, and from nov 88-91 , listing the weight difference between the cars, which is the reason of different springs
pre face lift-
Up To Oct 1988. Front Axle Load 825 kg And Rear Axle Load 905 kg
facelift-
Front Axle Load 865 kg And Rear Axle Load 945 kg

I fitted the cup kit to my Ibiza and didn't like the stance. Looked like the arse was sitting too low compared to the nose. It also scrubbed in the rear despite giving them my alloy sizes before ordering. They asked me to send them the numbers on the springs and said they were correct so I couldn't return them.
thanks, I got that information from Eibach now however my car was registered 24/08/88 and using http://www.bmwarchiv.de/vin/bmw-vin-decoder.html production was 05/07/88, but the car's a tech 2. Just a bit thrown that the dates don't correspond.
If I looked where? Are you saying that all eibach sellers have 2 options or that H&R also have 2 options?

Facelift is September 1987, not October 88.
