That 518i touring will be an easy fix no doubt seeing how good the M43 engine is/was
No V8's for me at the moment!

the E34 518i is no speed chariot, but in everyday traffic they hold their own,
I have had a few they sit nicely at 80mph on the motorway and for a big turd with a little donk they serve a purpose very well with decent MPG,
simple mechanics and low running costs make them a far better turd than any E39 sh1tbox

Hoping to get across and look at this sometime this week if the wife lets me off the lead! What do I need to be looking for? Waiting for the guy to mail me back?

No service history with it other than the work done recently which is a shame, Head gasket was done 110k been "In the garage two years and just run round the block" which if im honest always puts me off a car but the condition looks great but I cant make my bloody mind up!

That's £500 , on a good day. Nothing wrong with a M43 518 per se , but a 130k + saloon with metrics , grey velourz and no rent is hardly something that people are going to fight over.

Im biding my time, he says price is negotiable so I will let auction run down and see where it ends! Are the tyres a massive problem these days?
