i seem to remember that there is an engine mount from another bmw model thats stronger in its design than the standard mount. its for a rally car that im building so im not over worried about any vibrations or extra noise.
does anybody know what model they are from or a part number would be even better. cheers

There are a couple of options. M10 ones work too by all accounts. I started a thread on M42 club about this and M10 and the E28 mounts seemed to be the favourites.
I have some Vorshlag ones but the studs on them are too short so I need to have a play around with them.

cheers guys been looking at part numbers on real oem, i want to get these changed as i have had few standard ones fail through big landings.

used e34 m50 engine mounts, as used in the german 318is rally championship. the cars not running as yet so I cant comment if they would make any excessive noise in a road car.
