I notice Speedtouch is selling upgarde chips here on the Zone. He also says clearly (all credit to him) that they are not "Zone Chips".

Are the Zone Chips still availible? I havent found any mention of them anywhere, and haven't seen Ant doing any posting recently. I had one in my tin top two door about 5 years ago and was very happy with it.

If not, are Speedtouch's chips basically the same? Or are they superior?! Wild Vs Mild, anyone have any experience?

Grateful for any feedback, thanks.

Indeed, the Zone used to have a shop staffed, I gather by Sal and Ant, but it closed after a while.

Ant continued to supply them from his A-Tech workshop, but has moved onto work elsewhere.

So, I'm afraid it's mostly yours truly selling them, and yes, they are every bit as good as the original Zone chips, as my Feedback will testify:

Ah ha, thats exactly the sort of response I was lookng for!

Yep I remember the zone shop :) I seem to remeber you could get everything in there as long as it was chips, zone stickers, or a megasquirt kit!

Reading the feedback, it sounds like a mild chip for me. Want to keep the mid range, not so bothered about all out top end power. :D

Just a thought, if there are no true Zone Chips now, why the "these are not zone chips" disclaimer?

Possibly because there are cars still running zone chips, so it makes sense to discriminate between them. Judging by the very good f/b Maurice has received from his chips, there's probably no difference in terms of performance. It's an inexpensive, quick and quite effective upgrade so give it a go. Don't expect a massive boost - you'll get a slightly livelier, freer revving engine that just seems to do its stuff that bit more easily.
