My exhaust is banging against the valance, and the back box seems pressed up against the spare wheel well. This means I get a really throaty rumble through the car between 1500-2000 RPM, which is starting to get on my tits...

Car's a 325i Touring with a catalyzer system. All the exhaust mounts and rubbers are in good condition and bolted up firmly, but I can't work out how to adjust anything to move the exhaust over an inch.

Sounds like you may need to either bend the mounting brackets, or fit longer rubbers.

Either that, or fit a sneaky length of wire to pull it over a bit.

Yeah, it's all in the rear hangers, I should have realised. Loosened them up and twisted them round so that they were pulling the exhaust over rather than just letting it hang down.

Where there's a will, there's a way, especially if you're Polish!
