hey guys,

im looking at getting the gaz gha coilovers for my saloon, i was expecting it to be a fairly straight forward job.. until i have gone to the gazcoilovers site which states:

'In all cases we will need you cars front struts as the stub axle forms an integral part of the build process.'

now that makes its a bit of an issue. i dont really want to have to send my struts anywhere.
did anyone fit gaz gha on their car and did you send your struts anywhere to do it?

i could also just pick the gaz gha from any shop and NONE of them asks for your struts...

honestly confused by that...

cheers,
michal

Due to the design, all PROPER e30 coilovers require them to be built on an original strut stub axle.

If you can find any "off the shelf" ones then they more than likely will be doing a trade-in type of thing, where you fit your coilovers, then send your original front struts to them!

Buy a spare pair of struts and send them off.

It's how e30 coilovers are. Noone makes the stub axel part from scratch, they either source the struts themselves and add that to the cost, work on an exchange basis, supply a kit that needs to be welded, or are a hideous bodge job setup like the cheap jom / hottuning setups which use an adjustable platform balanced on the old spring perch.
cheers,

harry
