an engine transplant i.e M30 etc is likely to scare off most of the household names.
Prob best with some calls to Adrian Flux, Footman James, Lancaster, HIC, Direct Choice to name but a few.

Give my brokers a try: Premier Insurance 01207 592222. I have been using them for years. Every year I still ring round, and every year they still come up with the best quote. Just insured my M3 on a classic policy through them for Ԛ£250.

HIC will insure a converted car for the same price as insuring the car the engine came from.
Not sure how this works as in theory you can do an M50 swap from a E36 325i saloon which is group 14, which would give you more power than a standard E30 325i in group 15.
