Ferg supplied 'banjo's greatest hits' on a cd all day as they worked. Copious amounts of bourbons and brews, certainly paid off...

It would be a real pity to break that. Despite being a Bronzit moredoor, it deserves to be saved.

Couldn't you be bothered to wash below the bumpers? Bet you didn't dare use a pressure washer, for the safety of the car and drive winkeye

Random info here, just doing a random search for something and found this e30 user with same reg as this car so obviously the bloke that molested it

http://www.e30zone.net/modules.php?name ... highlight=

At least we know it has a proper 323i manual box! 8)

Only found this by sticking the reg number in the search for author box rather than the search for thread

It's not at the moment mate :(

Plans are a-foot to move it to a new unit shortly and re-start work. I am not sure if you read above but we nearly lost the car due to property repossession 8O

Been a while since this one got updated!

Since the last updates you will be aware that the premises where it was kept had been repossessed and by a stroke of luck we managed to get the car away in the nick of time before either it or things went missing! Luckily Cal managed to get secured up at a lock up the other side of the city but I kid you not when I say it has just been sat there for over a year and he hadn’t even been to check on it... LOL

Not long back Cal took a call from his mate to say, I need the car moved in 2 weeks time or I will have it scrapped (so many nice people about) so somehow he managed to persuade his boss to have it laid up at his work.

So he got it there and it looked a state, no wings on it or any of that and his mates have took the piss all week so he said give me a hand to chuck some bits on so his boss doesn’t change his mind about it being there! After having a nose round it again today he has the bug to get stuck in (apparently) so it might see some steady progress now if he can organise his work mate to help him with the welding (Cal is a painter).

Anyway, all panels on it are now straight and true (apart from front bumper) and everything is there to put together. I frustratingly noticed it has green tint glass on the driver door but I am sure we can get hold of some more glass.

The car is still lowered and will go back to factory height ASAP, might even use 15mm M-Tech springs but we shall see.

Anyway a few pics:

As stated, if he can get help on the welding then we have both said we will try and get this long overdue project moving seeing as it is in the ideal place.

Anyway, the car is safe that’s the main thing.

Loving it now Ferg... It's all the missus has heard about since I got back. Paint the easy stuff first. Bonnet boot wings and doors, front panel lower and let this baby take shape. The rear end scares me, but I want to do the bulk of it so I think it will be supervised but mig'd by the beater. (He owes me from fitting a rear subframe on a mondeo 3 anyway) the joys. Been delayed by 1 or 2 years too many. The old girl will see Tarmac soon I promise!

That will make a nice car once sorted Ferg.

I have a brown tint glass for you if you can't find anything local.

Pete did he ditch the original trim? I am guessing he had the original rear seat recovered?

(Wanna swap?!) the Matt black kid might of ruined mine and made it bridge-fodder... But I've got a serious henna bug right now and I'm busting to hit mine hard
