Help! im in the process of fitting an 1988 M30 3.5 into my 1990 325is. I have figured out all the engine wiring so far but i dont want pull my car apart trying to trace all the wires from the engine bay plug on my E30. Can anyone out there tell me the colour codes for the plug? Ive tried www.335i.de. The manual is useless. Cheers!

I'd love to help you mate but i ripped most of the stock wiring out and used a stand alone ECU.
The chap that might be able to help you is called Toby Unna, try sending him a PM.

I sorted out all the wiring for my M50 engine loom to E30 C101 plug the hard way, by tracing every wire to it's source.
I found that in most cases matching colours was right. Only thing I got wrong was interchanging the static and dynamic oil level sensor connections.
Your two looms are of similar vintage, so I would expect colour matching to be right for most of them.
