Have searched the site and google, found many threads for people installing the front seats, but does anyone know if the rear bench and backs can be fitted?
Reason being i fancy a set of the silver/grey vaders in my cab, but also want the rears to match (using black leather e30 door cards)
Thanks in advance

I'm pretty sure the E36 rear seats are too wide to fit in an E30 but could be wrong?

The e36 cab rear seats are very similar to e30 cab ones, but I'd have thought a bit wider.
E36 saloon rears will never fit, they're just two big cushions and will be much too wide.
E36 coupe seats, have separate side bolsters, which could make the back narrow enough, but the base is still one big wide cushion, and the backs aren't just cushions either as on an e36 coupe they fold down.
I think it would be far easier to stick with e30 rears and dye them to match.

Funnily enough E36 compact seats fit in an E30 and actually look quite good, the bottom swab fits straight in and you simply drill through the rear firewall into the rear of the seatbacks to secure the backrest ( you can bolt the side bolsters at the bottom but you need to make a bracket to hook the tops of the bolsters over) They sit higher at the back which removes the need for rear headrests but means you need to fab a higher rear shelf - can be handy if you want to do a big speaker install. We've just put a set in my mates cromie. The leather compact rear goes perfectly with e30 cab leather fronts as the panels go side to side

Fair question LOL - Simply because we only had Cab front seats in Black leather kicking about and no cab rear. Didn't want to buy cab rear seat & panels just to have to sod about with the panels to fit them and also didn't want a coupe rear seat with vertical stiching as it would have looked terrible. The cars a mongrel anyway ( nissan turbo engined former drift car now all welded up and rebuilt as a road car ) so originality was less of a priority.
PS - It's not mine - I still have my immaculate 316 non sunroof shell sitting awaiting running gear
