That's a nice example, but shame it's on stinky bottle tops. :D

It doesn't do too well in the first episode - his fat friend opens the door near the kerb and scrapes it along the pavement until the all decide to get out of the drivers side.

The show hasn't done so well according to critics either:

"The show, produced by HBO, made its debut in America a fortnight ago to a mixed reception. It’s not hard to see why. Merchant plays Stuart, a geeky, gawky English IT guy doing well enough in LA to live in a sumptuous apartment and ride around in a vintage soft-top, yet who is oddly unable to snag a girlfriend in that most mercenary of towns."

Vintage softtop - also described in the show as a '94.

It is cliched but after watching 2 episodes I quite like it.

Not sure it would be the reason why I'd subscribe to Sky though.

It did answer a question I'd been wondering whether you can get a wheelchair in the boot of a cabby (if we took ours to Yorkshire to see the father in law we'd need that in order to take him out). Apparently you can although you never actually see it put put in and taken out.

He's 6'7" apparently but sits quite low in the car.
