Been offered a set of "rare" genuine e30 star spoke wheels..
15j 7.5" wide and in only 4x100 pcd.

wondered if anyone could shed some light on them? I did a quick search on google to find out what they were and if they were rare (as i'd never seen them on an e30) but couldnt really find any answers, or any information at all really.

The bloke reckons there was only 50 e30's in the world produced with these wheels before they changed the stud pattern for the arrival of the e36.. far fetched I know but worth a query

cheers guys.

Now they are rare, but for a good reason. Hope they are very cheap and for winter or drifting.

i've only ever seen that style on E36s afaik.
maybe they're a copy of E36 wheels like the 4-stud copy of these M3 wheels:

talking of which, don't these look smart (on a 5-stud conversion):

I don't personally think they would suit my car but if they are rare i'd buy them anyway... might look good in black for some drift wheels?

They were common in continental Europe. They are not worth that much especially in red.

Not true Adi. Note, no slots in the spokes. Your showing style 24s.

These are style 10's. An option available as an alternative to 15" BBS. I've had a couple of sets go through and while they aint popular, they make a great winter alternative if you hate washing BBS :D But not in red.

http://www.bmwstylewheels.com/bmw/10

The positive is they are the same weight roughly as a BBS and are the correct offset and correct for an e30.

I sold a set to Malcolm and he ran them on his convertible.

As b7 said, they were an option from new on e30s, its just that 99.9% of buyers at the time had decent taste and ordered the BBS cross spokes instead.

Sure they're rare, but only because no one wants a set! No way are they worth more than a decent set of 15in bbs. And a set of secondhand nankangs are worth about £50.
cheers,
