Since doing the Crank sensor the 320 has decided to use alot of water/coolent! Cant see any leaks and no mayo under cap. Give me a clue people to what i can look for next, cant see that ive knocked any thing fitting CPS, cap fits nice and tight but after a run it does seen to be a little looser??? Car runs fine and does not overheat!

Check the elbow that comes off the thermostat housing, they are usually pretty corroded and weak by now and are easily broken when rummaging around that area , which you will have been when removing / replacing the sensor. The fix involves a replacement housing , I have them in stock and mine are strong !
Have you started decontenting the sorry turd yet ? ready for its inevitable demise

I did try bleeding the system before the darkness came! Roll on the weekend, wish I was a bit more mechanically minded so I could bang a 2.5 in it as its pretty solid but never going to be a minter

With the cap on,the system is pressurising.
Air is entering the system and blowing the coolant out.
Have you taken Pacerpete's advice,yet?

Water is very sneaky stuff,it finds the easiest route out,in your case via the overflow pipe.Nobby_N wrote:Ive not had chance, If it was the housing then i would see water coming out would i not?daimlerman wrote:With the cap on,the system is pressurising.

What you need to discover is why the bloody stuff is making a bid for freedom.
Pacer's post makes perfect sense to me,air is entering the system via a corroded alloy component and forcing water out via the overflow, aided and abetted by the water pump.
Obviously, both Pete and I are talking complete bollocks,in your usual style!

??? how very rude, im not a mechanical hero like you Mr foooking Dulux and i do listen to Pete! I was saying that surely if the corroded housing Pete mentioned was the problem then surely i would see water, I will strip it down and have a look over weekend!
