Could my indicators be slow due to a drained battery or something dodgy

Low battery voltage might well slow the indicators. If thy're still slow with the engine running, then the alternator output is low.

So I must have a dodgy alternator as the battery keeps going flat.
How do I test the alternator? Voltage at the battery is 13-14 when started and lights on. The longer the cars started the quicker the indicators work

Would the car still start if the battery was flat enough to slow the indicators?Brianmoooore wrote:Low battery voltage might well slow the indicators.

I doubt it.......the flasher unit would need only a few watts, the starter motor is around 1.5Kw.......BenHar wrote:Would the car still start if the battery was flat enough to slow the indicators?Brianmoooore wrote:Low battery voltage might well slow the indicators.
