ok iv got
M52B28 engine from a 5 series auto..
Manual gearbox from a 2.8 E36..
iv just bought a flywheel from a M20..
matching starter motor on its way..

do I have to buy a clutch that is for the m52b28 or one that's for a m20b25?

and wich spigot bearing do I use?

finaly, is there anything else I need to do. iv heard about spacers and also something about removing some metal from the flywheel.... im a bit confused!!! if somebody could explain whats needed like im 5 years old lol then that would be great. :o:

Clutch needs to be the m20b25 item. Sachs ones are cheap at carparts4less.

You will need, m52b28 spigot bearing, although I think they are all the same.

If its a ZF E36 box you will need a 15mm spigot bearing, the spacer/spreader plate goes between the flywheel and the bolts, to spread the load from the bolts.
The M20 flywheel will need to be machined/lightened to fit onto the M52 engine

Dont do adaptors mate, just do loom conversions so the loom fits the car in the same way an original E30 engine loom would
