Just bought a e90 330i and was wanting to check if the recalls have been done.

Will bmw tell me if i phone them?

Anyone know if the obd port theft issue affected the 2007 e90 as i'm sure there was a software update to combat this.

Go to any BMW dealer with the key, ask them to do a key read to see if any recalls are due.

Which year is it as there was/is an ignition coil recall on the N53 engine.

The OBD port theft issue effects all BMW's with the slot type key.

A quick way to see if it has been done is to use the key blade in the door and with the windows open, hold the drivers lock barrel in the lock position and see if the windows close.

If they do, it hasn't been done.

The software update is to remove the mechanical open/close of the windows using the lock barrel.

Which E9x did you go for in the end? Good spec?

E90's are okay - a big step up from the E46. The manual 325i and 330i is a really nice thing.

i do "OBDII port disabled" stickers for the windows. it wont stop your car getting stolen, but hopefully will deter a thief from smashing your window, whether or not you have had the update....
