as u all no i have am going to have a look at this sport.....(click me!!!) and just wounderd with 170k on the clock what should i be awear of? or looking for? and what sort of millage will this engine be capable of? are the tappets easy job? etc... all help much appreicated

170k sport? i would be looking at everything, rust,rust,rust and more rust. Sports generally hide rust where u cannot see it easily. So jack her up and be eagle eyes everywhere. Arches,scuttle,sunroof,sills,boots, front floorpans are favs. If shes bad u will see it all from underneath.
Check the engine for overheating eg cracked head. No mayo in the oil. IF the engine is warm when u get there walk away. It's not worth the hassle
Gearboxes chatter at idle so don't worry too much about that, make sure it goes into all the gears. They can be a bit stiff from cold
Diffs if they whine like a spoilt child chances are it's fucked or has the wrong oil in it. LSD's have their own oil
