Help,
Iv'e had my E30 for 2 months now, currently it's off the road having body repairs... However the engine starts, runs then will stall whilst ticking over, any clues... Also can I do something to the engine to get a bit more bhp?
Cheers

Firstly, let's move the Tech problem to Tech Help...
Second, for your stalling problem, is this from cold? And how long will it idle for - 5 seconds or 5 minutes? It makes a huge difference.
Thirdly, there's absolutely nothing you can do to get more power out - all the bolt-on bullsh!t that works on Fords is utterly redundant on a BMW. What you CAN do is give the car a thorough service with new filters and plugs, removing any aftermarket "upgrades" and returning it to OEM spec. That will yield surprising increases to an otherwise unloved E30.

One that's running as it should, maybe, but this one isn't running as it should, so it's quite possible that there's a considerable amount of more power that can be unleashed.Grrrmachine wrote: Thirdly, there's absolutely nothing you can do to get more power out
