Hi,
You can go 60/60 on the correct profile tyres and get no rubbing. I think 40 at rear and 60 up front is best. (i need to lower my car soon). If you have passengers it can hit bumps though. You take the risk of hitting your sump etc.

Yes, get 205/40 or 205/45 i would say at rear. Front will be no worries at 60mm.lazyjoeautoe30 wrote:i had a girls car. 206 on the deck 130mm on the rear and 90 on the front coil overs on 17" no rubin on the tyres. tyre rubbing is all i worry about the under side of my car was silver ha ha got shot before it snaped in the middle cheers guys so get a profile with a more rounded edge than square just dont want no metel to rubber.

Huh...?
Anyway, 60/40 would be your best bet for 17" Alpina reps dude.

my car is on 60/40 drop and is on alpina reps with 205.40.17 rubber, never had any scraping of arches etc, more likely to take your exhaust off on a speed hump than see any arch rubbing. Go lower at your peril really mate, 60/60 doesn't rub I don't think.
As long as you get the offset on the alloys correct and don't go wider than 205 then I think you will be fine fella. 215's will go on, but may rub under very hard cornering.
I assume the reference to 15" in your original post was referring to subs and not wheel size?
