Hiya
Ive been wanted an E30 turbo for a long time, and have been looking around for 2 door 325i's within my budget but they are very hard to come by.
Anyway - there was a guy selling a lagoon green touring, and thought I might as well get this as it matches the convertible. They also look nice with an mtec 2 kit on so I might have sourced one of those too.
I have been getting bits for the M20 turbo, and currently have an ebay turbo and manifold, with injectors and some piping - now it turns out that the touring has had an engine change in the past, and it is fitted with a high compression donk.
As im going to have to swap engines for a low compression one, I was thinking is it worth me just going for the m50 turbo - how much more work is involved and more importantly cost?
Answers on a postcard pls!
Got a dilemma for the next project

^^ nearly all of this is + postage costs and fuel costs,
But Minus labour costs.
There'll be loads i'v forgot about, this is just off the top of my head.
factor into that
brakes,
suspension,
mapping
better/bigger injectors
had to buy a better clutch
massive K&N
etc etc
obviously that's to reach the 500 bhp mark,
it can be done a little cheaper if your wanting less power
it's not a short conversion that can be done over a weekend, im nearly 2 years in and still working on it.
But fook me it's all worth while
Oh yeah, the perfect base to get you started..
