My rear wheels rub on the arches when heavy cornering. I want to stop the body rolling so much as I don't want to change wheels or ride height or anything like that. A friend suggested stiffer shocks? Is this the best option and which would be best?

Why not roll the arches? Do a search on You-Tube; you can use a rolling pin or similar.

Inner, they are rolled as much as poss and I like how it sits. just want to stiffen it a bit more so that it doesn't rub. Not sure what's best, uprated shocks, arb, stiffer springs, or some kind of rubber bump stops in the spring which I know some people use.

If it's the inners why don't you use spacers rather than trying to make the suspension stiffer and totally screwing your handling characteristics?

Oh and by inner I didn't mean inside of he wheel just inside of the arch. Suppose it can't really rub on outside thinking about it that way ha

Yeah makes sense I just don't have any experience of them on an e30 so don't know how much difference it makes. What's best and who has one for sale

I have only used them for their handling gains, not to fit wheels/tyres that are too big. But they do cut body roll.
The gentlemen at H&R and Eibach both make fine examples of these. They are around £350 for a pair.

Easier fix, is to fit wheels/tyres that actually clear the bodywork

Forget all that, you need some kind of magic bar with "anti-roll" properties built in. I have one RARE sat in my shed yours for £1234.56p ;)suchy wrote:The clue is in the name...maggspower wrote:Uprated anti roll bars: "does exactly what it says on the tin"

The problem is that with no other mods you will quite likely just trash the ride quality and make the car very tail happy.
