Hi all, I'm currently in the process of buying an e30 325i. I'm looking at upgrading the suspension as soon as the car is on the road.

I was going to purchase the Avo adjustable front and rear dampers combined with there 55mm lowering springs. The car is going to be a daily driver/drifter. Anyone have any experiance with these kits?

I was also wondering if I'd have to buy two sets of springs or is the spring kit will include 4. Thats a bit of a n00b question I know, but never changed the suspension on my old car.

Edit: The whole kit would cost around Ԛ£200 is this decent or could I get anything better?

My brother runs AVO coilovers on his E36 compact. I can't comment how they work on the E30 but the Compact shares common parts with the E30 on the rear and it really drives like its on rails since adding them. He needed new rear top mounts as the old one were shot (after 65000 miles) The back dropped too far so we've put thicker bump stop pads in to bring the back up again by 15mm.

AVO springs normally come as a set of 4. Are you you getting your prices direct from AVO? I've found that's the cheapest way to get them: http://www.avouk.com/

Both my front AVO single adjustable shocks failed but it was after 2000 miles of track use. I even got them rebuilt under 12 month warranty! They're probably fine for road use. I'm replacing them with something else now.

PS - Wanna buy my old set? All four shocks and eight springs? Includes -35mm and -55 springs.
[edited to show correct spring drops - i got them wrong off the top of my head.]

Thanks for the offer but I'm more than likely gonna look in to some better shocks if yours failed because I drive pretty hard on the road and will be at track days every couple of months. I'll keep your offer in mind if something happens :).

2xԚ£82=Ԛ£164
add
2xԚ£70=Ԛ£140
Ԛ£304 for the shocks + Ԛ£70 for springs

Ԛ£374 total maybe then a bit of discount for a full kit brings it down to Ԛ£350ish plus vat and delivary on top
