Hey all,
I read somewhere all the e46 leather electric sports seats came with the heater elements already installed, only requiring a loom and dash buttons to make them work.
Is this true, if so how can I tell? I really wish my leather electric sports seats were heated, it's getting cold.!

Not true im afraid.
Whoever told you that may be confused with new seat covers as they come with heated elements.
Basically, the heated seat elements on E46's are part of the seat fabric/leather cover and when you buy a new cover they only come as one type, heated.
So in theory if you bought new upper and lower seat covers, all you would then need is the loom and switches.
It would be cheaper to by a second hand heated seat interior and sell your existing ones.
