Many are hiding down the inside of the centre consol, does that help?

I found a working one in a scrapper last week! Was getting dim, but half an hour plugged into the car and it was glowing nicely. :D

They can be carefully opened up and new batteries fitted (CPC-Farnel) as long as the brass bits aren't too corroded.
Would be nice to covert to a white LED while it's apart, but a higher voltage battery pack would be required.

I've heard you can transplant the insides of a modern glovebox torch into an older torch.. Sure there's a guide on the internet somewhere.

This might be some good, looks like a e36 install but I'm sure some early e36s used the white torch untill they changed to the black ones.

Maybe with a LED they'd become a bit more useable, as let's face it, the standard item is utterly useless!

They seem to have permanently dropped their prohibitive postage and packing charges on orders under £40.

Never seen a 36 with a black torch. They all had white ones.

My 99 V plate convertible had a white one.

Barry, it seems that I can put any part number into that link, and it gives me an accurate price.

Why have I not been told of this before? :D

Can you get some Barry?
Sometimes things go either NLA or worldwide major back order and then get reproduced again when demand increases and BMW order another batch of a part, usually at an increased cost.

I'm not back at work till wed so cant confirm either way till then.
