There's no response from it, checked the switches, checked the fuses, door card off and taken the cable ties off the wiring as it was all collected up. After separating the plug and checking the contacts are ok, I can confirm the re is power getting to it. There's now a dull click when I try the switch but nothing more. Assume it's either a buggered motor or electric connection problem in the unit.
Driver's side works fine whe car is running or doors are open,
The question is, how do you replace the regulator ?
Can swap a whole window assembly but want to know if it's worth replacing only the regulator ?

71k miles, 4 owners (2 were husband and wife who ordered the car from new). Came from Synters with one sport seat and one comfort as his wife had a medical condition and wanted a less restrictive seat. I have both original front seats.
The only things that have been added over time are a sparco strut brace and an upgraded alpine stereo.
Simple car, pulls like a train and unlike every other E30 I've driven, the suspension is great, no rattles, squeaks or knocks. I really enjoy driving this car.
I swapped it for a white H26 Touring I owned for about 7 hours. Long story.

I has the same unresponsive rear drivers window.
I change the motor nothing, then wiring loom, nothing.
Turns out was dodgy spare motor and dodgy original door loom.

Did you change only the motor Pete ? Don't want to start on it if it's a bad idea. I hate working in a door.Sanchez wrote:I has the same unresponsive rear drivers window.

I ended up putting the original motor(and all window mechs) back in and changing the doors wiring loom.
Can you put 12Vs to the motor?
