It's a common fault on those - I had a 525tds with a dodgy fuel pump - used 50% veg oil - saved a bundle on fuel, and the car ran much better too - I sold it to someone in Ireland advertising that runs fine on veg oil and he bought it because of that (and advised of fuel pump issue)

Don't really want to go down the veg oil route tbh. If I have any problems with the new one then maybe.
Thanks for the advice though

Hey Gem, car was looking great at Players on Sunday. Splitter is looking especially mashed up now!
How are the Dibed front top mounts holding up? I bought a set the other day, but the bearing inside them is really tight... Do yours make any noise turning lock to lock or anything?
Cheers.

Alright dude, were you in the e30?
I could really use a new splitter or respray but never have the time ha. There pretty good, no noise as of yet, only noise i get is from the tyres on full lock

That's good to hear. I was there with my Touring too - but the guy at the gate said there wasn't any space left for show parking! We walked through to the show gate, and there were people paying for tickets! Oh well, not a big deal.

So yesterday was spent giving Smokey a clean and treated the splitter to a respray... same colour as the engine bay / grilles.

Went to a meet last night.. and some fuckwit stole my power steering cap of all things.

TDS*
On motorway journey's we've worked out to around 73mpg which is better than my father in law's bora.
Short journey's it's not that good. Fella lives around 45 mins away so it's quite good for that as well.

I sneaked a few photo's with one of the wedding cars on Saturday

Few pics from the Lichfield meet.... highlight of the night was being asked if it was a 2.8 as it didn't look like a 2.5. ;)

Cheers dude
Quick pic from MFN.

So, came back from Centre Parcs earlier than expected.. as our friend took the bikes on her bike rack, we had to find a way to get them home with us... Wasn't to bad, had to cable tied the boot.

Couldn't resist a photo of the height difference between mine & a standard car

The car's developing a few problems that are starting to really wind me up as well. When the heaters on, it intermittently flickers on and off along with the electric window switches doing the same.. quite off the heater will still blow without the key in the ignition & it's started to eat propshaft donuts..
