No rain at all....,but no drifting nothing, just the strip, and theres only one lane open so the queue for it is looooong.
Even the different zones are totally empty.

I had a feeling the zone stand would be empty
Although a few usually turn up a bit later.
Whats the turn out like for the other clubs?
Weather in Leicester right now looks like the world is about to end

Numbers are down on counts compared to last three years but still quite busy. Thanks for the pass they would not let a few to display in front of me in the que and put them in the car Park but to be fair they were e36sJim320i wrote:I had a feeling the zone stand would be emptyAlthough a few usually turn up a bit later.

I am glad to be staying at home this weekend as my car out in the rain two weeks running would not of been good for my garage queen. Its a shame the weather upsets these kind of events because it would be nice to meet a few fellow zoners.

It was cold windy and council but the hardliners had a good night. Much reduced grub/alcohol and herbal fags were consumed and it was good to see Beemerlad make a late showing
The show was literally a washout , lots of everything but not too many E30s, maybe 20 at a push.
Weirdly, I do not think I saw one E24 and only a couple of E28s.
The rain started about 11 and got gradually worse until the track was shut. Poor Danthe towed his track car to the event, got it unloaded and was waiting patiently for his first run when they closed the track. It was still closed when I left.
The Suburban was loaded with some fresh frag from my nice friends at Rybrook and I was out the gate by 1.30.

yeah I felt for Dan too. But to be fair the track was at best damp, all the 60ft times were nearly twice the norm due to lack of traction. but when you take that into account some good times put down. Good to see somwe old faces as I have not made a show anywhere for while. Over all a good day out.
Absolutely freezing & Wet, you missed nothing!Andyboy wrote:'Rush' was excellent last night, so was a healthy dose of KFC afterwards and a warm bed - plus a 'commuter special' this morning.
How cold was it at Pod?

a little poor on the turn out i think another rethink on a venue for next year .
i did turn up had a chat with a couple of zoners then left
ll in all i think 2 hrs 30 mins at the pod and a 3 hr drive to and from
also a lot of negative feedback concerning the zone how again its plummited into the pit of hate piss taking twats we all didnt wont to come to . sorry mods but thats what most people think of the zone at the moment so a rething how we can get the zone back to what it was good for .
this post will prob be deleted and i will be barred

a 300 mile round trip for me in the Sprinter (via Basingstoke), heavy showers all day really, but well worth it for me, i sold a fair few parts. i went with a "business" attitude and so wasn't disappointed. very nice to meet and greet a few zoners though

Cheers for all the goodies adit. Should give me Something to do.
Nice to meet both you and Mr magpie. Good to put some faces to the user names. Haha.
It was a shame about the bit of rain but I enjoyed walking round my first car show even if it was a 380 mile round trip.

It would be a lot better show if it was July/Aug. Maybe a show at York of people want to keep the drag strip. I didn't make the trip down it was raining this morning and a 2 hour drive for a couple of hours before it forecast rain at pod I didn't fancey it, please I didn't now but abit down for missing another show in another way.

It was never going to turn out well due to the forecast, this is the first year out of three in a row I havnt been to York, it really is a great drag racing venue if you get a decent group together, much better organised than pod, well worth the journey if its a nice day, you up for some runs next year Matt?
I was gutted I didnt get to run the track car today, but hey ho, will have to take it to the next one
